Nestled in Volcan, Panama, the picturesque Bambito coffee farm spans 15 hectares and is managed by Priscilla Amar Gonzalez and her brother Rafael. Situated between two national parks, the farm enjoys a unique and biodiverse environment, contributing to its exceptional coffee production. Bambito’s mission is rooted in an unwavering commitment to excellence in all aspects of coffee cultivation, maintaining perfect growing conditions and a deep connection to the land.
Bambito farm places a premium on the well-being of its workers, fostering a collaborative environment and rewarding their expertise. In addition to wages, pickers are motivated by a unique bonus system based on the color and brix reading of the cherries they pick, receiving supermarket gift cards as payment. This dedication to quality extends beyond coffee production, aiming to create a positive impact on the community it serves. Bambito aspires not only to produce exceptional coffee but also to enhance the well-being of its workers and the surrounding community.
Gesha coffee, renowned since its discovery in Ethiopia's Gori Gesha Forest in 1931, is celebrated for its wild, intense floral, and sweet notes. After being lost in Latin America, it reemerged in Panama in the mid-1990s, quickly gaining a reputation as one of the world's finest coffee varieties.
