Diego is a surfer living the Pura Vida, "pure life/living" lifestyle of Costa Rica in Alajuela, a small town in the hills outside San Jose. Diego embodies a maverick spirit, taking over his father's farm, which was initially dedicated to conventional and practical crops like sod and houseplants. Diego undertook a gradual transformation of the entire farm, meticulously converting it to a coffee haven, one lot at a time. Under Diego's visionary leadership, Hacienda Sonora has transformed into a rapidly evolving powerhouse, continuously pursuing excellence and sustainability.

The Milenio variety, born from the hybridization of Sudan Rume and Sarchimor, represents a fascinating blend of coffee lineage. Sudan Rume brings delicate profiles while Sarchimor exhibits rust and disease resistance. Milenio is a pioneering and experimental coffee variety, characterized by unique and alluring traits that set it apart.
