Experience as a barista preferred. Baristas are the essential link to our customer for the farmers whose coffee we serve. A genuine love of people, working efficiently, and creating a welcoming environment is required for a successful barista! You will be training to understand the aspects of coffee brewing which will go into serving brewed coffee, pour overs, espresso, and explaining in-depth the story behind each coffee. Cleaning and keeping the shop in order are essential to this position, and we want people who will be able to manage all aspects of this job within a team environment.
Experience as a retail manager and leading people is required. Our retail managers are the driving force behind growing the demand for farmers coffees in our cafes. Creating a culture of customer engagement, extremely high quality standards, and creating and managing operations are essential skills to this position. We look for people who embody the servant leader and are able to demonstrate a willingness to work hard alongside their team, building respect and buy-in from within.
Warehouse, driving, and production experience is preferred. Our production assistants are the backbone of the roastery. They assist our Production team with weighing, packaging, and organizing orders for wholesale and our shops. Production assistants also are in charge of fulfilling online orders, brewing commercial batches of cold brew, and receiving coffee orders. Cupping coffee regularly, and developing coffee knowledge are all things we try to cultivate in this job. This will include heavy lifting and driving commercial vehicles.
