The V60 is another excellent brewer from the folks at Hario Glass in Japan. We use this brewer almost exclusively on our pour over bar at 1740 S. Broadway because of the exceptionally clean and vibrant cup it provides.
The ridges on the inside of the brewer lift the paper filter off the sides, allowing coffee to flow from all sides of the filter, instead of just the bottom. This results in a faster brewing time, which highlights the acidity and sweetness while minimizing the chance for a bitter cup. The filter is an oxygen cleansed filter, which leaves little to no paper taste, and reduces the amount of oil restricted by the filtering process.
The 02 size is best suited for a single 10-11oz cup, but with proper technique two 7-8oz cups are also possible.
