Ciro Lugo is a coffee "Llanero" through and through. A tough Colombian cowboy who embodies self-reliance, positivity, and grit. He’ll greet you with a warm smile and a handshake that could crush the bones in your hand. He's the type of person to hold themselves to the highest standard achievable, regardless of how much work it requires. It is for this reason why we at Corvus are so proud to partner with people like him; he inspires us to work harder, be better, and hold ourselves accountable to excellence.

Ciro sees coffee as a reflection of himself, knowing that his work will create waves that carry his passion to future generations. Despite being underpaid by exporters for years, he continued his work for the love of the craft, laying the foundation for his descendants to continue his legacy. This legacy is championed by his son Albiero, who is helping Finca San Pedro finally get the recognition it deserves.

This coffee is one of our proudest partnerships. We exist to showcase coffees like this; great without the story, but the love we have for this family makes the cup ten times better. It's characterized every year by a buttery smooth mouthfeel, intense citrus acidity, and dominant brown sugar sweetness.
